I visited a friend on Youtube that I hadn’t seen in decades. He’s still doing the same thing – vlogging.

He inspired me in the early 2000’s to come out of my shell with posting videos of myself. I became a vlogger for a time as well, interacting with him and the others who were intrigued by his charismatic personality. It was the very early days of Youtube, and we were creating communities together.

We talked about philosophy, the mind, collective consciousness. I felt like I was part of something bigger than just myself, but even bigger than that – a shift, enabled by new technology, which nurtured the expanding of the limits of the mind.. by talking to myself, I was talking to everyone.

I grew.

Now, it seems he’s lost his way. His heart is still in the right place but his mind has been captured, likely a while ago by those who seek power. Or, maybe he’s the same as he’s always been, and I simply forked a long time ago and had forgotten how rough around the edges he was…and is. Unfortunately, still.

2026 is starting out to be an interesting, reflective year for me.
