It’s bewildering that I find myself emotionally affected by musicians I’m a fan of who end up doing monumentally stupid/abhorrent things in their lives.

I feel like their music becomes a sham to me – a lie. I feel like I’ve been betrayed by allowing their music into my life.

This has happened both by musicians I know personally and those I don’t. I don’t like the feeling at all and I’m surprised at myself for feeling this way.
