Into the Earth —
Tired, stubborn old men die clinging to their own chests
As if they can start their own pale, black hearts again
It’s sad they can’t control how they die
As they strived to control their own lives
“A miserable failure”, again they said…
They don’t see
Beyond their own greed
And so they concede
Into the Earth, to try again
